Looking for a top of the line MTD 534 (yes, 34" scale) with exhibition top/fingerboard/headstock in mint condition?
Here it is. Fantastic instrument, world class build quality/tone/playability. Has ash body and neck, private selection of rose of the mountain top, matching fingerboard and headstock. No need to say this I guess, but this bass is exceptionally rare. I'll weight it later, but it's certainly not very heavy. The condition is absolutely perfect, like new. Has 24 frets (medium size, I think), midfrequency selector switch with 3 settings (250, 500, 1000 Hz) for great versatility, Bartolini pickups with MTD specs (very transparent when flat), zero fret. If the usual MTD 35" has thrown you off, check this 34" scale out; plays like butter.
Looking for Fodera basses for trade; show me what you have (+/- cash as needed; would also add my AC LM5 on sale here for a really special Fodera). Will consider 4/5 strings, 34" scale (maybe 33") and am looking for a Fodera on the brighter/punchier end of the spectrum rather than the dark/warm end.

Not harsh by any means, and the bass seems to have a natural compression from the rose of the mountain top, which is just perfect for slapping. The ROTM fingerboard plays quick, almost like ebony but without any pinginess, if that makes any sense. To me, the bass is a rare hybrid with characteristics of ash/maple but also the warmth of ebony/rosewood if you need it. This bass is stunning, really, and I think it will become somebody's one and only instrument (and make you sell your others!)
btw, I have received a ton of offers/PMs about this bass and am sorting to them. I'm waiting to hear back on some details. Thanks for all of the interest.

I sold a beautiful 535 several years back because I just couldn't hang with the 35" scale. Beauty!

It's beautiful, I want it!!!!
