FS/FT: MTD 535 Special #10

Sign in to disble this ad
On Hold

This is the 10th MTD built, it says 535 Special on the back of the headstock. It was apparently donated for a benefit, and Mike had Larry Robinson do a special inlay on the headstock. Can't say I've seen Larry's work really close up until now and it's really out of control imo. Anyways, all the specs are on the last pic. The condition is spectacular, I see two very faint dents on the back that will not photograph well because they are real small and next to pourous wood surface, other than that it's very clean.

Thought about keeping it as a showpiece and still might, but if the right Smith 5 or 6 EG comes around, let's talk. Could also do 2800 shipped paypaled in the lower 48 of the US.

That's what I feel about all of his basses - understated and gorgeous.

Ack, why do these beauties keep coming up everytime I'm trying to sell a bass (to pay bills) and not buy another to replace it?

You willing to ship overseas? Have my own Fedex account (makes it easy to ship) and can pay by PayPal e-check, so no fees. Have bought a handful of basses here on TB and everyone's been very happy.

Cheers,

EG

evilgus, I've done a few transactions overseas so it's probably not an issue. It would just depend on the rates on the service we decide on. Thanks!

Just randomly found this old thread. The pics seem to be gone, but I remember this bass! It's not still around by any chance, is it?
