FT Music Man Stingray 4HS
Hi to all,
I've got a Stingray 4HS - black and maple - that I would like to trade. It is in excellent condition overall. A few very small little scratches (visible on close inspection under the right light at the right angle, but not when viewing head on). There are also a few light scratches on the back. Overall...very, very clean. I would be comfortable calling it a 9/10. I have three different pickguards for it (black/grey/white stipe; orange tiramisu swirl; black). The case is in excellent condition (not a gigging musician, so the cases rarely leave my home). I tried to take pictures of the small scratches on the bass, but they did not show up in the photos.
I had this posted a few weeks ago. A sale fell through (the bass never left my possession, though)...just getting around to posting it again. Here is the original post (stingray pic is on the left):
I am looking for a Stingray SLO of similar condition. They just suit my hands better than the regular.
Anyone with a SLO that has been interested in moving into a regular Stingray, I'm open to considering a possible deal.
I would also consider a sale, but more interested in a trade for a SLO all things being equal.
Not to hijack, but how did you like the HS versus the HH combination? I've not played an HS yet.
The HH in the photo is a Sterling, so that was a very different beast altogether with ceramic pickups and (I think) series wiring in all positions.
I do have a Stingray HH in the past, though. I liked the HH and HS equally. With the HH, my favorite positions were bridge only, 2, and 4. With the HS, I like all positions, except perhaps the middle position (very scooped sound to my ears). I think the HS offers a bit more room between neck pickup and neck if you play slap and pop lines, though I still found the HH great for slapping as well...just needed to be cleaner/more precise with popping technique on that one.
Cool, thanks for the notes - GLWTT!
