FT: MusicMan Sterling 4H

Sign in to disble this ad
For trade: MusicMan Sterling 4H, virtually mint condition. Blue w/black pickguard and rosewood fretboard. Includes OHSC. I bought this recently and unfortunately the sound just isn't quite doing it for me.

I'll post pics when I can--should be tomorrow or Saturday.

May eventually sell for cash, but right now looking for interesting trades. Prefer 4-string fretted but may go for the right fretless. 5-stringers...well, maybe. Possibly interested in a Markbass amp (solid state).

No interest in Standard MIM P or J basses.

I can't add cash right now, but would trade down if appropriate cash was added.

I will only ship within the US.

Hit me with whatcha got!

I love the way the Dunn looks, but I didn't like the two I played. So although my eyes say "yes" I'm gonna have to pass. Thanks, though.

PM replied.

As far as weight, I don't own a scale. It does not strike me as being particularly heavy or light considering the small body size of a sterling. (so if I had to guess, I'd guess the wood is alder...maybe .)

Pics at last!

Interestingly, I raised the action just a little and suddenly I'm not so sure I'm out of love with the sound. The playability is crazy, the sound is great...but I don't like blue basses. So I'm now (maybe) open to a trade for another Sterling in another color, and preferably with a maple fretboard. Still interested in other basses, see first post above.

Ok, pics! (sorry about the blurry ones! if you need more PM me, but I think these get the point across)
