| eCommerce | 12-31-2012 08:27 AM | FT: my Parker Fly Classic guitar for your bass! First off please let me know if this is in the wrong forum. I know it's not a "bass for sale" but I'm looking to trade for a bass so I thought this would be the right place. I'm new to TalkBass but I've done a lot of good deals on The Gear Page and eBay.
So here is my Parker Fly Classic. It's an amazing hand-built USA guitar. According to the serial number it was the 10th guitar built on Oct 8th, 1996. Basswood neck, mahogany body, Dimarzio pickups, original Parker hardshell case with case candy, trem bar, extra trem flat spring, etc. I got this guitar in a trade a couple years ago and the electronics were trashed so I sent it in to Parker in IL and had it completely gone through and fixed up to current specs. The piezo is amazing! It's an extremely comfortable guitar. I just have a LOT of guitars and I'm starting to play bass in a project so this baby is up for trade. As you will see in the pics it's not a "closet" guitar - it has a few little dings but pretty standard for a 16 year old guitar.
So what do I want? I'm looking for a 4 or 5 string in a comparable price range. These Parkers are $3000+ new. That said, I'm not delusional about it's current worth. I seem them go regularly on eBay for $1100-1500 so something of comparable used value would be great.
