Thumbs up FT/FS - 1996 Alembic Epic 5 Wenge top

Ok, so I got this in a trade, and while it's a great bass, it's just not 'clicking' for me. I think part of it is the ebony fretboard, and the other part, is the neck is a bit chunky for my tastes (dual truss-rod). At the time, I couldn't in good concience pass up on an opportunity to play an Alembic. I'm the third owner and according to the previous owner, the first owner had this bass as a case queen, and since it's in great condition, I'd have to agree. I'm going to use some of the pictures from the previous owner, so I hope he doesn't mind.

As far as trades are concerned, I'm looking for the following: (Only looking for 5'ers)
MTD
Ken Smith
Sadowsky
Lakland (Skyline or US)
Fender

I also have some other equipment (amps, cables, pedals, etc.) that I can trade with it. Most of it is listed in my profile, But send me a pm and I'll let you know if anything is missing.

$1850 $1600 shipped CONUS

Here are the specs from what I can gather... Please correct me if I am wrong (I don't mind being wrong )

Wenge top
Mahogany body
Maple neck
Ebony Fretboard
Dual trussrod (accessed on the bottom where the neck meets the body)
All electronics appear to be original.
The bass also has a fresh set of DR hi-beams on there

Now for the pictures: I can and most likely will get more updated pictures. although the date stamp on the pics say they're from 2007 -which they're not- the bass looks better than the pics show. I can and most likely will get updated pics, but I wanted to have these up for people to see the bass.

The body is mahogany. This used to be mine and it truly is a great bass. Jaime is a great guy to deal with and hopefully someone grabs this great bass. I polished the brass nut and bridge before I sent it out so it looks a lot better then in the pics now for sure.

The gold washer around the output was something I added to help prevent the hole from getting cracked from pressure caused by the cable pulling. Distributes the pull a lot better and looks cool in my opinion.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to have to pass. Too much bass for me!

Last bump of the year... If it doesn't sell or get a trade, I'll explore more local options and probably re-list it at another point...
