FT only: Warwick 5 $$

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm getting the itch to try something new and since I own two wicks, I'll offer up the one I've had longer. I'm still playing my thumb daily.
Anyway, so it's a 5 string $$. Great shape, no issues. Natural color. Probably a ding or two here and there but looking over it before posting I didn't see anything noticeable. It comes with the rock bag and wax and truss rod tool and all the stuff.
I'm looking for trades only. I just recently started a new business and cash is very tight but not tight enough that I want to sell. I just can't afford to buy anything new at the moment.
If you have something that isn't as valuable as mine, I may consider a trade plus cash on your end. But I'm not looking for anything that requires cash from me. Again, new business, start up costs, etc. I don't want to spend money at the moment.
A fretless bass would certainly get my attention. But I also love fretted basses. Six strings are cool and so are four strings (and fives too). No sevens or twelves or anything crazy like that.
If you're interested, get in touch.

The Warwick Corvette $$ Double Buck is a 5-String bass guitar that is similar to the other Corvette models, but distinguishes itself with unique electronics. It features 2 powerful MEC humbuckers nestled closely in the center position, completely covering the legendary sweet spot that so many basses miss completely. This configuration gives it a powerful, solid tone with depth and clarity. 2 mini 3-way switches let you choose humbucker, single-coil, and parallel or series operation. The passive pickups are matched to an MEC 2-band active preamp, making it a true passive/active hybrid. The Corvette $$ Double Buck features a select swamp ash body, an ovangkol neck, bell brass frets, high-quality hardware, and natural or transparent color oil finishes.

Warwick Corvette $$ Double Buck 5-String Bass Guitar Features:

* Select swamp ash body
* Corvette body shape
* Ovangkol neck
* Dual MEC humbuckers
* 3-way coil tap switches for hum cancelling, single coil, or parallel/series pickup operation
* Bell brass frets
* High-quality components

Here's a few pics. Not great as I traded my awesome DSLR camera. So now I'm stuck with a crummy camera that's about ten years old. But here they are.

Thanks for the offer Col but not really interested in Carvin. I had a LB76 as my main bass for several years. It's a nice enough bass but it just wasn't what I wanted.
All pm's replied to. Bass, as of now is still available.

This kind of business

As for trades, yeah I'm pretty much only looking for basses.

As for other questions, someone wanted to know about spacing and weight. I'll try to get this info when I get home from work tonight.
I believe I've replied to all pms. As of now, it's still available. I have a few possibilities as far as offers go so far but nothing concrete yet. So if anyone is interested, lemme know.

I have a Fender Standard Jazz fretless. Basically brand new.

If you interested at all, let me know.

Update bump:
I have had many offers on this and as far as I know, I've replied to all pms. I love this bass. I had it before in a four string and sold that one to get this one. But I'm itching for something new. However, I am not desperate at all to move this one. So far I have a couple of offers that I'm considering but in all honesty nothing has blown me away yet. I've also made a couple of offers to people who haven't replied. So either they just haven't gotten back to me or they are not interested.
If I don't get the right offer and decide to decline the offers I have, I'll eventually take this one off the FT rack and maybe try again a little later...or just keep it in the family.
As always, if you have something to offer, lemme know.

Weight shows as ten pounds on a crummy bathroom scale. Personally, I don't buy that it's that heavy but it's all I have to go on. String spacing, I'm still working on. I have no way of measuring it but I'm looking for info online. Will deliver when/if I find it.

bridge measure

you put your tape measure or ruler or speed square or whatever that has the small tight lines (as well as inches) and count from center of one string to center of the next right at the bridge. should be 17 or 17.5 or 19 etc

I must be crazy. I lost my tape measure a while ago and have yet to replace it. That's what I was thinking. However, it never occurred to me to use my girlfriends ruler...which is right on her desk...a few feet from my desk.
What can I say? I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Anyway, spacing is 17.5. Thanks mntngrown.
