FT: parts P-bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for trade is my Fender parts P. I picked this up over the summer in a trade with fellow TBer DarkHorse, who put this together.

PRECISION BASS - YOU WANT THIS !

Here's the description he provided as to what was done:

*Genuine FENDER MIM Precision body
*Might Mite neck (re-shot and tinted in nitro lacquer)
*MIM Fender tuners
*Fender vintage style bridge w/threaded saddles
*OLD set of EMG Select pickups (these sound surprisingly good !)
*SX neck plate
*CTS pots
*Sprague "Orange Drop" capacitor

Also to note, the neck is a jazz style neck (1.5" nut). It also has schaller straplocks installed, which I will include.

The bass plays and sounds great, but P-basses just aren't my thing. It is a players bass, though, and isn't in mint condition, but it is in pretty good condition. There are a few small dents and dings, but appears to only be finish deep. The headstock also has some dings. Also, the two knobs look very similar, but aren't exactly the same (the pots and electronics all work 100%, just non-identical control knobs). The pickguard has the holes for a pickup cover and tug bar, but there are no holes on the body that line up with those holes.

Currently the bass is strung with 3 super slinkys and 1 d'addario chrome, but I have a new set of ernie ball super slinkys I can include if wanted. I do not have a case or gigbag for this bass.

Now accepting all trade offers for either guitars or basses (no amps please), CONUS only. Jazz basses preferred. I'm not in any huge rush to dump this, so I will be picky, but let's see what you've got!

Here are some of my own pictures:

Wow, would probably help if I actually referenced the link I posted.

At the time, I'm really only looking at the classic vibes. I've played a lot and loved every one, so I know it's one I'd be happy with.

if you decide to part it out, I'd be interested in the neck!
