SOLD TO STARMANN FOR $1300
I've had a bit of a saga with this bass and I've decided that I really don't want to keep it. Here's the story: I purchased this bass about 5 weeks ago during the MF sale. When it arrived, the finish had an issue near the bridge. I decided to keep it and send it back to RIC for repair. Much to my surprise, RIC didn't just repair it, they MADE ME A BRAND NEW BASS!!! I just received the bass on Wednesday. The new bass is PERFECT!. I can't find any flaws at all. The fretwork is so level that I've been able to achieve a very low setup (3/64 on G to 5/64 on the E).
In addition to the brand new bass, I purchased a Cove Treble Bezel from
The place to shop for Rickenbacker Guitars, Basses and Parts and installed it on the bass. It looks great and allows the bass to be played directly over the bridge pickup. The pickup cover is included as well. Finally, I purchased a used Hipshot replacement bridge from another member here on TB. I haven't installed it yet, but it will be included with the bass.
I'm really looking for a trade on this one. I'm looking for a 4 or 5 string bass of equal or greater value. I'm willing to add some cash for the right trade. For trade purposes, I'm valuing this bass at $1600, which is less than they are currently selling for on ebay. No zero feedback traders, no international trades. Lower 48 only. I'll consider anything, but especially the following:
- Spector
- Fender
- Sadowsky
- Warwick
- EBMM Stingray Classic
