My beloved Rickenbacker and I must part ways...
I need a 5 string bass much more than I need my Ric.
Perfect condition (one tiiiiiny ding in the white lining in the body). Going into the shop this week or next for a full tune up before trade.
Looking for a comparable 5 string bass:
1st choice: 5 string Ric
2nd choice: 5 string Fender Precision or Precision w/ P/J pickups
No boutique basses, nothing worth less than $1100. Add cash on your end if the bass if worth less than $1500. I'd like to avoid actives and JAZZ pickups.

Laurel, you were talking about a great luthier in the area, and I said to myself "I'll bet he's talking about Pete.". The last couple of times I was in there he was telling me about how he's getting into working on pedal designs now. Are you working together with him?
Come to think of it, I need to go see him soon. I have a fretless Jazz that I'm thinking about selling/trading and I'd like to have him look at the jack before I put it on the market.

As for pics, I am in babyville right now and can't get to take a pic. I can soon. In the meantime, google "rickenbacker 4003 jetglo" since they all look the same! |
