If you are just using it as a wall hanger then it is perfect. It is naturally reliced. Quite a bit of pitting on the chrome and I assume this is why the blurred photos and no response to the requests for clearer shots. I fell for the blurred shot thing so be forewarned. The duty is on cross boarder purchases and is based on what you declare as the value. If I am not mistaken the postal service does not declare a value for duty but you need to ship with the neck off to meet their size limitations. I would check before you leap. I have also seen several real Rics available for close to $1000 if you are willing to wait. I bought a 2008 4003 in Fireglow off Craigslist for $1200 about 5 months ago. As a matter of fact I found the listing from someone here on TB. I called the seller and talked to him so I was pretty much sure it was on the up and up. I'm out of this thread now as I am feeling a bit uncomfortable describing someone elses item but this guy is big time evassive answering for himself.

Leave him alone, it's a Western Canadian thing. If you don't want to cut the tonails at least crop them out of the photo. Geez!

By the way how do you get them to grow sideways? Some sort of trellis?

I have shipped tons of basses to the US. You just need to use Canada Post with the neck off, and declare a 200$ value or less and there are no duties or taxes.
Its only those crooks at UPS and Fedex that have crazy border fee's.

I think I said this a few posts back. The only problem is if it is lost or stolen or the person who bought it says he never got it you are out the actual cost of the bass especially if he used Paypal. I would rather insure for the actual value.
