FT-Sadowsky NYC 24-5

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all, here is my new NYC 24-5. What a really nice bass. I'm looking to trade this for a NYC JJ 5 in the same condition. This bass is 3 weeks old. Also the width at the nut is 1 3/4", a bit too narrow for me. A nut width of 1 7/8" is what I'm looking for.

Did you buy this bass at Bass Specialties in Bensalem? Would you consider a trade for my super-sweet 1992 NYC Sadowsky 5 - 24? Mine measures slightly more than 1.875" wide at the nut. I will post a link to my bass later (typing this on my mobile phone), meanwhile you can see one shot of it in my profile photo.

Following-up on my earlier post, you can find lots of photos of my 1992 Sadowsky NYC 24-fret 5-string here --

Sadowsky NYC 5-24, late 80s w/premium top

I had an offer on this bass last week, and the other party said that he would have PayPal to me "in a few days". If he doesn't come through by tomorrow, I am offering this bass back up, and I'd love to do a trade with you (I'd even consider adding-in some cash to the deal). I took detailed neck width measurements on my 24-5, and it is 1.900" wide at the nut.

Thanks for the offer but I want one in a newer condition.

Oh, the condition on mine is very "new" (that one ding that you can see in the photos plus very minor scratches that are barely perceptible on the back of the bass are all that there is in the area of wear on it). I've been told that the bridges, pickups, and preamps in the early Sadowsky NYCs are superior to current ones, but I cannot say for sure. Regarsdless, Glenn at Bass Specialties can vouch for how nice mine looks and more importantly, how great it plays! I'm just the opposite of you in that I need a narrower neck on my 5-string basses.

If you sell the bass outright, how much are you looking to get for it?

Thanks! .... Doug

Don't know if you're getting the response level you wanted on this ad BUT you might get more if the title of your listing included "SADOWSKY" rather than "SADOWKY".
