FT: Spector NS-5XL Beautiful Buckeye Burl USA!

I am listing my Spector NS-5XL Beautiful Buckeye Burl five string for trade.

This is a killer bass that always got me compliments on look and tone. The playability and tone are outstanding, the neck is the most amazing spector neck Ive played. I think the look of this instrument speaks for itself. The B string on this is simply monsterous, Id put it up against any other 5 string out there. The bass is pretty light Id estimate ~9 Lbs

The Specs are:
-Serial# 098
-Buckeye top
-Walnut back
-3 pc rock maple neck-thru construction
-Pau Ferro fingerboard
-Gold Spector Solid Brass Locking Bridge, Gotoh GB7 Tuners, and Schaller Straplocks
-Stunning Abalone Inlays
-EMG 40DC Pickups
-Matte Poly Finish

Condition is very good with several things I will note due to my perfectionist nature.
There are some imressions on the back of the bass neck which didnt show up well in the pics. There is a very small opening in the buckeye as shown in the pics (probably due to wood drying). There are some playing impressions from plucking and slapping on either side of the neck pickup. There is little or no fret wear because the bass was hardly played.

The guitar collector I purchased this from bought this directly from Stuart at the 2004 NAMM show. Stuart built this bass for himself and this specific bass still featured on their website news. PJ Rubal confirmed this back when I listed it for sale in '09 and then changed my mind.

(scroll 2/3rds down)

Reason for selling: Its been basically sitting in the case since 2009 and it deserves more play time.

I think this is a special bass, so im going to be a little picky about trades and would limit them (+ or - cash of course) to the following 5 stringers:
Foderas
Sadowskys

What a beautiful bass...and amazingly light for an NS-5XL! If only I had anything worthy of trading for it! Good luck.
