FS/FT Spector NS5CRFM

ADDING A SALES PRICE OPTION. There is another bass available on the boards that I am interested in. So, let's see what we can do. I am offering for trade or sale my Spector NS5CRFM.

This bass is in near mint condition. There is on slight finish chip near the bridge that was there when I purchased the bass from Bass Central in late 2000. It never really bothered me and I never mentioned it to the dealer.

The finish is black cherry burst. It bursts to black and the back and neck is finished in black. This bass predates the newer Euros it has the matte gold bridge and solid maple wings with a very nice quilt.

Original NS-Curved Body™
Solid European Maple Wings
Neck-Thru with SPECTOR® MOP Crown Inlays
EMG BT™ 9v Tone Control
Active EMG™ Pickups
Schaller™ Strap Locks and Tuners
Gold Hardware - Solid Brass Bridge - Matte Finished
35" Scale

I am offering for trade mainly because I prefer 34" necks. I am hoping for a straight trade. But, will do + or - cash, for difference if needed. I do have a low feedback rating as I have only bought 2 things on Talkbass. I can supply a phone number and other references to interested parties.

Sales price is $1200 Paypal.

Bass will be shipped in a ProTec Bass Central bag, packaged in a bass cardboard box, surrounded by bubble wrap and peanuts.

Trade interests include:
  • Fender reissues
    • MIA 64 P reissues - black or sunburst, MIA 62 jazz reissues (stack knob) - prefer Olympic white, MIJ 75 jazz reissues -prefer CAR or LPB, Jaco fretless, jaguar
  • EBMM Stingray fretless - prefer tobacco burst
  • Spector
    • NSCR4FM, Euro

Those are light reflections in the photos. You can see the area above the bridge in the second picture mentioned in the previous post.

I have a few questions for you. What is the scale length? What preamp is in the bass? Does this bass have the graphite reinforcement bars? Weight? How is the action? I really like it low as I play with a light touch. Thanks for your time. I might have a trade that you would really like and meet your requirements.

James,

It has the EMG BT™ 9v Tone Control, 35" Scale and weighs about 10lbs on bathroom scale. The action is set very low and stung with light gauge strings. And, it does have a single truss rod with graphite reinforcement bars.

Maybe. Color? Condition? Rosewood or Maple?

It's transparent red with a matching headstock and rosewood fretboard. It's in great shape aside from one ding in the lower horn. If you're interested PM me and I can send some pictures

Working on responding to PMs. Some have asked about a straight sale. Let me think it over.
