FT: Spector NS5P

Up for trade is my Stuart Spector Design NS5P. Made in 1994 in the good ole' U S of A. Here are the specs/details:

• Quilted Maple Body Wings
• 3pc Neck-Thru Rock Maple Neck
• 24 Fret Pau Ferro Fingerboard w/MOP Spector inlays
• Spector Solid Brass Piezo Bridge and Active Tone Controls
• Gotoh GB7 Tuners
• Scahller Straplocks
• EMG 40DC pickups and 18v HazLabs preamp
• Natural Oil finish
• 34" scale
• 17mm string spacing
• 10.3 lbs
• Hard shell case included

Overall, it's in good shape. There is some belt buckle rash on the back and wear areas on the front. It's a sweet bass, but I figured since I have a couple, I would throw it to the sharks to see what kind of bites I get.

What I am looking for:
Something lighter. 9lbs or less. Primarily interested in Roscoe, Sadowsky, and whatever else I haven't thought of yet. 5 stringers, preferred, but I will consider 6 ers. +/- cash for the right deal. I will be taking this with me to Phoenix next week to have the frets leveled/crowned/polished.
Please keep in mind I am in no hurry to move this so I will be a bit picky on trades. I may come to my senses and close this thread too. Here are a couple of pics. I will post more recent ones when I have time. Thanks.

A 34" scale Spector 5er????

What would you put it's trade value at? Like a dollar amount if you were going to sell it?

Well, I am not sure. I will say that this bass today w/the options (piezo, 34" scale) it has would list for around $7k with a (new) street value of around $5k. Thanks.

Thanks, but the guitars I have don't see much action.

Yes, it is a fine instrument. I really got lucky with that one.

Man, even with my Spector, I barely look cool right-side up.

Damn, that is one sweet bass and I am a totla sucker for Quilted Maple tops, especially on Spectors.

Sadly, the only 5 stringers I have are......Spectors......and the only 6 string bass I have is......a Spector so nothing lighter here (and as they are either Czech or Korean, nothing of equivalent value)

Good luck with your trade!!!
