I've been wanting to try some other stuff out besides my Schecter Stiletto 5 and want to see if anybody's interested in this. I bought this bass off the bay about 4 years ago and I just don't play it as much as I thought I would. Has a good sound to it and is beautiful to look at. 5 piece neck through with maple body. I believe it's a foreign made bass but not sure where, somebody else is selling the twin to this thing right now and says it's Korean so maybe so...
Take Note!!!
It does have a hairline crack between the neck and upper body that starts just above the neck pickup and goes up around the back and stops about 5 inches from the strap knob. It looks like the neck lam swelled a little bit but the body didn't. You can't feel it until you get to the back. The crack doesn't affect the tone as far as I can tell.
Aside from that it has a little ding on the top front edge of the headstock and I found a tiny little black spot on the bottom of the body below the knobs. Also a couple of belt marks on the back that could probably be wiped off. Maybe I just need to clean the thing and see. It also has some string marks on the fretboard mostly on the B and E string but they are really pretty minor. I guess the previous owner had rounds on it.
I'm looking to "trade up", I estimate the value of this bass with crack and all to be in the $600 range and would like to go up to the $800-$1000 range so if you have a Warwick, Jazz style or even a MM style 5 or maybe 4 string fretted. Really anything different than my Schecter will be considered, with cash from my end of course.
So if I don't get any bites on it I think I'm going to get the crack fixed, epoxy the FB, switch out the pickups and electronics and change the finish to a blue or ruby burst. Pretty much just have a science project for a few months.
I didn't even see this ding at the top of the headstock till I posted this pic
This is where the crack is most noticeable starting a few inches below the heel and going down toward the strap knob
