dude i would really love to buy this but no money and i only have one 5 string that i need i need a cheap fender jazz that i can modify cosmetically. like pickguard paint and control plate... oh and im in australia so postage might hurt abit aswell

i dunno, man. i have a 2000 model and i always follow when folks try to sell theirs to get an idea of what it's worth, but i've never seen one sell/trade in here! which is crazy b/c they are awesome basses. very versatile, super construction, light, punchy and beautiful!

i just got one today in the mail its a killer bass great neck great unamplified tone to it. sounds awesome with the stock fender strings. whoever gets this will get a sweet bass. the american deluxe jazz is one of the best fender has to offer.
