FT: US G&L L-2000 #6 neck/figured maple board/mhs

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Y'all,

This is an absolutely gorgeous L2K - blueburst (G&L does a magnificent burst) over ash, figured maple board, matching headstock, #6 neck (1.5" wide at the nut, 7.5" fretboard radius - G&L's take on a vintage J neck) and in great shape - just one ding - you can see on the front of the body picture just above the strings between the neck pickup and the neck. 9.something pounds.

It will come with original molded case.

I have 2 L2Ks and this is the prettier one but the other is slightly lighter so comfort wins out over beauty as to which one can leave the building.

These pictures don't do the fretboard justice - the figure is washed out. I'll try to get some better pictures later on.

What I'm looking for in trade is very limited:

Lakland Skyline Hollowbody - if it has Darkstars and a hardshell case I'm ecstatic (and I really like the sunburst ones I've seen but they all look good)

I might consider:

G&L ASAT semihollow (must have 1.5" nut width and a 3-bolt neck)
Reverend Rumblefish 4-string (PJs and exotic finishes given great consideration)
G&L SB-2 or SB-2 (maple board, under 10lbs, 1.5" nut width)
double-darkstar Lakland Skyline w/1.5" nut width
maybe a P-style Lakland Skyline w/1.5" nut width
maybe a Tribby SB-2 w/maple board that I like

That's all I can think of that I'd be interested in, otherwise I'll just keep it (what hardship )

This one has a bursted back, not a black back:

and this picture shows the figuring in the fretboard:

there is the light surface scratching/swirling from normal wear that can only be seen by turning the body to the "right" angle to the light

Not fair.

craigb: Your limited list of trade interests is killing me, and quite frankly, just not fair. Gorgeous bass....

Well if you can locate a good deal on a Skyline HB or a Rumblefish 4 for me then I'll sell it outright

The Skyline HB I had a line on was sold to someone else so I've taken the price off this and am just looking for the listed trades

OK, as is often the case with me once I've allowed that something can leave it will. I'm putting a sale price back on the bass:

$875 shipped in the contiguous 48, paypal OK

I'd also have some additional possible trades:

G&L SB-2 - US, 1.5" nut width, under 10 lbs (preferably under 9) with a maple board (great consideration given to clear blue, blueburst, belair green and clear green)

possibly a Lakland Skyline P-style bass (Glaub, Dunn) with a 1.5" nut width

A double-darkstar Lakland Skyline w/1.5" nut width (Glaub/Dunn/JO/DJ/etc.)

possibly a maple board Tribute SB-2 (not cherryburst or natural)
