Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Guys, I got a near mint condition USA L2000/Jazz width neck , This has been my go to bass for a while but I've been using my Jazz a lot lately and just thinking I might want to check something else out..Sometimes I trade basses thinking the grass greener on the other side, sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't oh well... I'd like to keep it passive, simple not to many bells and whistles on it...Let me know what you got....Thanks
NOW FOR SALE $900 shipped....

I don't have a scale but the guy I got it from said it's right around 9 lb's and a few I've seen on here seem to range from about 8.5 lb's- to a tad over 9 lb's and yeah it's a sweet looking, sounding and playing bass....

I've been checking your DJ4 out, I play a 2008 Fender Jazz with Lollar pup's in it, i wonder how different they would sound ?? I see you just picked this DJ4 up wondering why your getting rid of it so quick and can you fill me in on the spot you picked out where your wife won't see it ??

Yeah, I traded one of my (2) MIA Jazz basses to get it. I had a 2007 and a 2009 both with maple boards and DiMarzio's. So the 2007 was getting no use.

The Lakland action is ridiculous. I can't set my Fender anywhere close without a bit of FRET buzz. It's lighter than my Fender, and the Lakland Jazz pickups are an extremely hot single coil. Great tone and it looks like all the cavities have shielding paint in them. It's an extremely quiet bass, except for the worst grounding scenarios...which would include my house built in the 1920's. EVERYTHING has 60-cycle hum in my house except DiMarzios.

Reason I am looking to move so quickly, is I bought a Stingray SLO from BassCentral, and traded for a Sterling a few weeks later...and the Humbucker is a perfect fit in both of my electric projects right now. That being said (2) Jazz basses getting no use seems a bit rough.

The secret spot where my wife would not find it has absolutely NOT panned out!! LOL!!:
