With all of the Valenti basses coming up for sale, I figured that I would put the Valenti #18 Geddy Vee up for trade. I know that this is a favorite here on TB.com, but I don’t want to sell her, I want to trade her. This bass has a few minor dings and scratches, but there is nothing major: three minor dings through the paint-two on the back and one on the upper horn near the strap pin (none of them are bigger than the tip of a pen and are difficult to photograph); a ding in the binding on the treble side of the 2nd fret, it is minor and doesn't affect playing in any way; some minor scratching on the back, but it is not through the finish; and a minor scratch where one of the previous owners obviously slipped with the drill as he was making the hole for the Audere's LED.
I bought this bass to see if I could understand all of the hype that surrounds Nino’s basses and after playing her, I now understand. His basses have a wonderful sound and look great. I really do love this bass and it is the best J-bass that I have ever played. However, I am really looking for a bass with a more modern sound. I have a soft-spot for Roscoes, any singlecuts, and elricks but let me know what you have. My only requirement is that the bass is a 5-string and I would prefer a fretless bass, but a fretted bass would not be a deal breaker. PM me and let me know what you have to offer.
