FT: Warmoth custom 5 jazz bass (Alleva-Coppolo pre!!)

JUST LOOKING TO SELL NOW!! Here's my recently built Warmoth custom 5 in trans purple w/ matching headstock. The body is SUPER light Ash, and the neck is maple/maple w/ black blocks and binding. It feels AWESOME but sounds even better with the Nordstrand Big Single pickup and Alleva-Coppolo 2 band pre (which cost me $450 back in 2005 and I'm not sure if Jimmy Coppolo does this anymore). I was originally looking for 5 & 6 string trades but I think I'd just rather sell it and put the $ toward some bills I've been a bit late on....

....it's such an awesome bass but unfortunately has seen no action since I got my Alleva-Coppolo RA5. Final price drop to $1300 shipped and it'll arrive in a sweet hardshell case! Get that AC sound for cheap!!

THESE COME WITH THE BASS!

EDIT: just to be clear, the black bridge and tuners in the pics have been replaced with a chrome Alleva-Coppolo vintage style bridge and the same hipshot ultralite tuners, but chrome.

That is really neat! For those with the cash, it would be cool to buy it and add another pickup for a truly custom Jazz Bass!

well its going to come with careys stock pre. id only be willing to take it out to try an ac pre because i like the bass boost a lot on my ac stompbox that i use with the vintage stuff. the extra ac pre i had before, i put in a 75 ri jazz but the pickups were wound to sound great passive ( i sent some antiquity's back to duncan to pull some winds off) and thus the pre sounded like **** in that bass. which then of course led to it being sold when i needed bread.

gotcha....I actually had this very AC pre in a '75 reissue jazz as well with EMGs and it sounded awesome! When Jimmy did it in 2005, he told me he HATED EMGs but this was the best he had ever heard them sound with his pre....I later added the passive tone knob....but for the most part I think Jimmy's pre works best with passive pickups and would sound killer in a Nordy....sort of the sound I was going for with THIS bass
