FT: Warmoth/Fender Jazz EBMM

Sign in to disble this ad
I just had this up in another thread but closed it due to me keeping the other bass in the thread.
What I would like to do is put just this bass up for trade. If your interested in a sale I guess you could PM me. But i'm not sure about outright at this time.

What I'm interested in is "good era" 80's or 90's Fender MIJ P or P/J basses. Warmoth or warmoth/fender basses welcome too. If you had a warmoth 5 that is 34" I might be into that too. Even up or + or - cash is fine depepning on the bass in question. Especially prefer the P basses with the slimmer thickness on the neck.
Again for those who have not seen this it is:

*Warmoth Ash body with quilt top
*Pro relic job. Very tasteful not ridiculous. Lots of checking
*Gototh bridge
*Bartolini EBMM pups (passive)
*Pre amp is 9v and unknown brand. (2 band boost/cut with phase switch and pre bypass)
* Older MIJ Jazz neck(plays like buttah) frets are in excelent shape

Other than the belt buckle rash spot on the back, the places where the finish has peeled or worn off is natural (natural from relic'ing process) not raked off with a tool of some kind. You know how every so often you see a very vintage bass where the finish is just coming off allover because its so old....this has the same vibe. This bass wasnt relic'd with a screwdriver and some sand paper. In person the body looks like it came from the 50's

with just the neck pup you have dead up P bass tone if you want. it but with a J body and neck.
Unsure of the weight. Its not chambered soo....?

I just looked this up. The Neck is MIJ as I said. But the serial # is a "I + 6 digit" so that means its either 89' or 90'.

There are a few other basses I would be interested in as well. I can throw in cash on my end if need be. Especially for 5 or 6 string Cirrus'.
Theres a few others too. Shoot me a PM. Worst I can do is say no.

Bump for trading towards a Cirrus 4, 5, or 6.

I also find myself in need of a bass to use in a metal band. I am quite fond of Schecter Elite and Stiletto basses if anyone has one.

Because i'm in serious need of a small amount of cash (about 2/3 of what i'm asking) to finalize a gear purchase I have considered just now parting out this bass to cover what I need.
New thread posted in accessories!
Thanks.

No longer for sale. Was able to actually talk to the builder and there are some interesting details that have made me want to keep this afterall. Thanks for looking.
