FS: Warwick Thumb Bolt-on 4 string

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a beautiful Warwick Thumb here that I'm looking to sell. It's in great condition overall and sounds incredible. Made in 2002, it has all the stock specs: Ovangkol body, active MEC pickups, wenge fingerboard. I'm letting this guy go for $1,100 $1,000 $900 $850 shipped; Paypal is fine.

It has a few nicks and wear that I tried to show, but nothing very noticeable. A few things I want to mention however. First, the nut appears to be very slightly dislodged (See picture), I'm pretty sure this isn't normal, but it has no affect on the sound/playing at all. Also, there was a problem with the bass cutting in and out so I had my repair guy take a look, and he fixed the issue, and replaced the jack so it works perfectly now.

It has dunlop strap locks too, but I don't have a strap to ship it with unfortunately Sorry about that. It will be shipped with a fender gig bag I have.

Here's some pics:

I tried to show the minor wear above the neck pickup.

Sorry this pic is sideways

I forgot to mention, but I changed the preamp out a couple months ago, but decided that I wanted the original back in. So that's why the treble/bass knobs are a little spaced, but it works like it used to, no problems.

Here's a minor ding on the body

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll pass on those. Lots of great offers, keep em coming! Something with 4 strings preferably.

Well it seems I need to sell this guy more than I need to trade him. I'm letting it go for $1,100 shipped.

What's the neck profile like? Thick, thin, p-bassy, jazz bassy?

I'd say it's probably comparable to a p-bass in my opinion

I second that. My thumb is definitely a p shape. This is definitely one of the best basses you can get for the money IMOH. I sold mine and regretted it for 3 years and just got it back. Good luck with your sale!

EDIT: Holy banana crackers batman! I just saw the price. How is it that this is still here? I'd buy it as a back up if I had the scratch right now!
