FT - Yamaha BBNE 2

Sign in to disble this ad
I am testing the waters here for a possible trade. I have a GORGEOUS Yamaha BBNE 2 Custom Artist (all black hardware instead of the gold), alder neck through, ebony board with pearl block inlays and "BB EAST" inlay at the 12th fret, active Yamaha electronics with volume, blend, bass, mid, treble and a mid switch and knob to control mid boost and cut (the switch turns on/off this mid feature).

The bass comes on the OHSC which has the band name "Memento" paineted on it. The bass has a few small mojo marks but this was this artists backup bass and saw little stage time. It's in really nice condition and the playability and tones are first class all the way.

I have come to realize that I am first and foremost, a 4 string player at heart and I prefer the ash/maple combo.

I am looking for an ash/maple 4 string. These NE basses run $2400 new and they range between $1200 and $1400 used so I'm looking for a nice ash maple 4 string in that range. I may do a bass plus cash on your end but I don't have cash to add to any deal. If someone is interested in a straight purchase I'll do $1350 shipped.

Enjoy some pics -

And the weight is a little over 9 lbs...very comfy and perfectly balanced.

That is incredible!

I honestly never knew that Yamaha made very high end basses.

Yeah, it really is gorgeous and with the Nathan East pre the bass is super versatile.

Here's a video of Nathan East introducing the bass at a clinic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFBEUKxb9s4

Courtesy bump for a bass that I'm going to (Regretfully) have to pass on.

Might also trade for a Bongo 4 HH plus some cash from you...

Or a 4 string Stingray HS...preferably with a maple board!

There's a reason that this is the Nathan East signature model...

Intonation and playability is fantastic. Preamp and pickups are made to Nathan's specs...

Bump for a great TBer, Dude and Bass!!!

Nice looking bass. I played the old Nathan East model and it was killer. I wish this was a 34" scale.
