FT: Yamaha BX-1 w/OHSC (Steinberger Style)

Up for trade is a very good condition MIJ Yamaha BX-1 4 string Bass. Comes with the original case which is in good condition too with some small scuffs and small tears.

Bass plays and sounds great with medium low action. Bass is light and comfortable and has a surprisingly full rich sound. Currently strung with some DR Black Beauties. Both pickups work great. Wired Volume volume tone. The push/pull on the tone is broken and stays pushed out Which I believe bypasses the tone circuit.

All parts are original including the the electronics. There is some wear on the bridge and a small bit of corrosion on the string retainer. Some minor scuffs on the body but nothing big.

I'm mainly looking for amps or cabs in trade. Open to basses too. Not looking for lower end stuff (beringer, new acoustic etc) Micro amps or cool little combo's top my list. Feel free to run anything by me as I'm pretty flexible. + or - $ as needed.

Will keep this for trade for a bit to see what pops up. If nothing interesting does I'll put it up for sale.

Played last night at band practice. My drummer and guitar player couldn't believe how great this bass sounded. I couldn't believe how much of a difference the ergo style makes. Felt like I didn't have anything hanging from my neck.

I'll have to see if my recording was ok so I can post some sound clips in a band setting. With a REALLY LOUD drummer.

Here playing this BX-1. It was a little strange because if felt like the bass was just there. Didn't pull on me if that makes any sense. Super comfy to play. I can see this being a lifesaver for someone with back problems.

This was recorded last night via a M Audio Micro Track 24/96. The Mic was behind my cabs so it's not very bright sounding but I think you get the general idea of how this bass sounds. Just me and my buddies goofing around.

Don't believe so. I believe it's neck through with a 5 piece neck.
