OK, now I've got 2 5 string fretless's and that is one too many...
Behold this refined beauty! 9.5+. I'd call this finish Cognac Burst, it is nicely done and has a gorgeous matching headstock too. The back is black. I'm thinking this is an ash body but it is not real grainy in appearance so...?
This bass has the spirit of an upright in feel and aesthetics, a simple but expressive instrument. Don't let the one pickup fool you, it can have a very full round sound along with the familiar G&L cut. The full C rounded quartersawn neck and ebony slab board are reminiscent of my Clevinger Opus EUB. Nut width 1 3/4" and 17.5 string spacing at the bridge. The action is real low and easy, strung with nicely broken in Chromes. I am including a like new set of Roto tapewounds too.
Both bass and original molded HSC in excellent condition. The one fingernail size ding at the back edge near the bridge is shown below. Weight about 10 lbs. by guesstimation, a typical G&L. My understanding is they no longer offer ebony in any way shape or form so love me while you can.....
$900 shipped CONUS PayPal is MyPal, check or MO accepted too. Trades considered would be for small cabs ala Walkabout Scout, Epifani 112, Wizzy etc.
