G&L ASAT $799 shipped CONUS

Sign in to disble this ad
G&L ASAT SOLD

Beautiful red metal-flake ASAT bass with flamed and birds-eye satin maple neck, without a separate fret board.
Matching metal-flake headstock.

Metal-Flake is a $550 upgrade when ordering a new G&L with matching headstock.

Weight is 9#.

Bass is in excellent condition.
No finish nicks or "worming" on the back.

Haven't had the neck off to see the mfg dates.

3 bolt neck attachment. Tight neck pocket.

G&L #6 neck: 1.5" nut width;
Profile is 7/8" thick: 1st through 12th fret.
Bi-cut neck.
Truss rod has two washers and new adjust bullet.

NOTE: When bass was purchased, truss rod had no washers from factory.
Before G&L changed to the bi-flex truss rod, factory implemented using two washers.

G&L logo Schallers.

"Comfort Contour" back.

Bridge saddles are the older zinc die-cast.

I.E. These saddles are higher than the intonation adjustment ends.

Think G&L changed to nickle finish over brass for the bridge saddles circa 1998.
Saddle adjustment ends are now the same height as the string saddle.

No play in the jack.
Controls are smooth without scratchiness. Preamp operational.

Strings are TI EB "Power Bass".

Ships with a good used Fender poodle case with all latches intact.

Payment by USPS MO only.

Please no trade offers.

EMAIL direct with TB-ASAT subject line.

TNX, Jamie

I had one of these and the red metal flake is amazing looking. The pics don't do it justice, in person it's striking.

Bass is in excellent condition.
No finish nicks or "worming" on the back.

Haven't had the neck off to see the mfg dates.

It is an older model with the bi-cut neck without a separate fret board.

3 bolt neck with micro-tilt. Tight neck pocket.

Think G&L went to 6 bolt necks post 1998.

Bridge saddles are the older zinc die-cast.

Thats a beautiful bass. Only thing saving me is that one missing string. Otherwise I would be all over this.

Sweeten the deal with Dan "The ASAT Man" ASE, ASAT Strap Extender.

Dan designed a "bracket" strap button extender for the 3 bolt ASATs.
The factory 3 bolt plate is removed from the bass and replaced with the ASE.
This places the strap button over the 12th fret.
Use the strap button of your choice, standard or quick release like a Schaller.

Yeah, I would be interested with Paypal.

I've been burned and don't really trust sending a money order to someone I don't know.

Sorry, nothing personal. I hate Paypal too, but at least I have peace of mind that I will get something for my money.

USPS MO vs. PayPal etc.

I actually have interest in this bass, but I'm not sure.

But, to those who are concerned with being burned - Jamie is a top notch guy. Very credible. Been around the boards for a long time. Long ago he sent me some hardware I needed (can't remember what) without asking and without charge.

Proceed without worry.
