G&L ASAT Bass Like new!

Yep, here comes that green carpet again...

Hopefully this will be the last that I put up for awhile but here goes:

Not sure of the year but I bought it new not too long ago. It weighs just shy of 9 lbs. (8 lbs. 15 oz to be exact). It has the standard neck that ASATs usually have (#8, I think). Currently wearing Roto nickels 45-105. It will ship in the original hardshell case. This bass is in like new condition. It's great bass, but I'm pretty set with what I have in basses at the moment. I'll entertain trades for this one, but I'd really rather sell so I'll probably try to hold out for a little while. Trades are + or - cash as necessary.

Trade interests include:

overdrive or compressor pedals
Outboard pre-amp
Mesa Walkabout (Head or combo)
Aguilar, Epifani, EA (or similar) 12" cab

PayPal is highly preferred for payment unless you're local. Sorry, but I won't ship international. The price includes shipping to the lower 48 in the US.

Cash price $850 $799

Surprisingly, not really.

The only interests in basses I have at the moment are 5-strings that are out of my reach for now. If I needed another 4, I think I'd keep this one.

Thanks anyway!

That would be very cool...if I had the space. For what I need you'd have to cut one out and send me that.

Free bump for a beautiful bass. Quick question...do these ASATs have any neck dive?

Yes, they do have a pretty decent amount of neck dive, but there are ways to deal with it like any other bass.

I would say Heatmonger is right. There probably is neckdive, but, as he also said, there are ways to deal with it. One thing that I think is interesting about ASAT basses is that they actually have 2 strapbuttons on the back/bottom do that you have 2 choices as to how you want the bass to hang. I would also add that I think that we all have different tolerances for neck dive. I really can't say that I noticed it that much with this bass (I do have Warwick Thumb as well and I don't notice much dive on that either, so take my opinion for what it's worth! )
