G&L ASAT Hollowbody re-post. FS/FT price drop!!

11/23 Just got this bass back from getting a once over and setup by a local luthier. Plays better than ever now.

Also interested in potential amp trades. Whatcha got?

Recently acquired this G&L ASAT hollowbody to fill my need for a 4 string. It's a Fantastic bass and it sounds just as good as I had expected but the balance is off compared to my L-2500 so I'm entertaining letting this bass go.

The bass is an ash hollowbody, I'm not certain if the bass is chambered or if it's just the section with the F-hole. The body is a slab type with no belly cut. Neck and body are bound and the neck has a gloss gun oil tint. Fingerboard also has a gloss finish. Headstock has a matching sunburst finish. The neck is straight with little to no fretwear and no deadspots. I've set it up with a tiny bit of relief.

Controls are typical pickup selector, series/parallel and passive/active/treble boost. No scratchy pots here. Control cavity cover still has film on it.

There is a 1 cm horizontal ding behind the 5th fret on the back of the neck which I will try to photograph. There is a tiny bit of marring on the end of the headstock which I will also try to photo. Besides that there are no scratches or appreciable play wear or finish dulling on the rear or the bass. I'll look it over again in full light when I take more photos, hopefully later today. The bass is in overall excellent condition and comes with a G&L HS case.

I'm looking for 4 string basses primarily but would entertain a 5er. 34" scale only and I would like at least 21 frets. I'm primarily after Fender style J or p/j basses or older Spector Euros. Can add cash as necessary. I don't necessarily have my heart set on anything particular so throw trades by me. I'll sell for $1250 PRICE DROP TO $1000 + Shipping !!outright but would rather trade.

Jazz or P/J

Picked up a set of P/J basslines. Looking for a Jazz or P/J to plop at least one of them in. Fender USAs are 'aight, prefer Lakland or better.

Barrel bump. Winter's coming to Fairbanks. With each passing day, that scotch no doubt becomes more essential.

If it were me, at some point during the dark months, the age of the scotch would matter less and the size of the barrel would matter more.

Damn, that is a beautiful bass. I've read nothing but great things about the ASATs.
I wish I had the kind of cash to be driving that down to Anchorage myself.
Good luck with the sale!

Well, how much added to this- Mesa Boogie M-Pulse 360 Simul-State Bass Amplifier w/SKB 4U Ultimate Strength Rack
?
As you can see, I don't have an ASAT ............yet.

Jag offer

I'll have to pass on the Jag. They look sweet but I'm hesitant on basses that I've never tried out. Thanks

Trades.

P/J basses are great trade bait, it'd have to be a pretty cool jazz bass but I won't say that I wouldn't consider the right one.
