Price Dropped to $700 shipped CONUS!!!
Re-habing a G&L L-1505 has brought me to sell my early 1985 G&L El Toro. It is active, trans blue finish and a maple board. Strung with fresh DR Hi-Beams 40-100. There is a Fender D-tuner installed (It came to me like this, I don't have the stock tuner) which works great. The body is in VG condition with some dings here and there and slight buckle rash on the back the previous owner colored in w/black pen (see pics). The neck is nice w/1nick on the rear (see pics) that I never really noticed while playing. The sound is powerful but as I needed another 5ver and have several other Leo era G&L 4's, she needs a new home. The OHSC has some paint on the shell (I got most off) but the inside is pristine and the latches all work. I sold her sister in Evilbay for just over a grand but really don't want to deal there again so I will offer her here for $700 shipped CONUS obo. Let me know if I can answer any questions or provide more pics. SSB

| | | | wish it had a rosewood fretboard... anyway.. could you tell me something about the sound... i like a classic jazz bass sound... but couldnt stop there and so far my best "evolution" option was the fender roscoe, i always liked the passive options of switching coils... i had G&L L2000, JB-2 but never listen to one of these...
it looks to me like it has a jazz feel maybe more mid lows than lows? you can switch parallel/serial the pickups right? its almost the same preamp that actual G&L's have?
i'll appreciate any info and if you have some sound clips...that would be great, thanks |

Never use the boost even on my L-2500. Mostly use mine on Parallel and active, great tone. The nut is 1 11/16", as are all of my others. I fell in love with that size and continued to buy them, best neck Leo ever made IMHO. The sound is more mid than my L2K's with a cutting quality in the mix. I like it for live play and the soundmen I work with agree (run out from my Mesa 400+). Sorry, I have no clips. SSB

I have a first year L-1505 that has a destroyed body but an incredible neck/electronics and I am having a Mahogany body built for her. Now if there is an Alembic out there..... ...well, ya know....
PM me an offer and we'll go from there. It is obo after all.

Please be cautious of the people using this site to get information, then dealing outside the Talkbass Fourm. Not sure why... if only to have no possible governing via the moderators, perhaps. Just a word of warning.
