Up for sale only is a mint condition G&L Jazz bass. I love this bass but after practicing with it for a while I have discovered that it's just a little too heavy for me. I am returning to my cover band this weekend after a 6 month leave of absence to battle cancer. Fortunately for me I am in remission and my outlook is good. But alas my days of playing 9 1/2 to 10 pound basses are over. I need to take it easy on myself from now on so I have bought all new light weight equipment and all my basses now have to be under 9 lbs.
I have chance to buy a used Sadowsky Will Lee from a local TB'er that is the nice light jazz bass that I need as a back up to my Lakland 55 94. So this bass listed has to go to help pay for it.
This is a totally custom G&L Jazz bass. I bought this new from Jim at Atlanta Bass Gallery a couple of months ago. He told me that the G&L company told him that this is the one and only G&L Jazz bass that will ever be made without a pickguard. It also has an incredible amount of nice options on it. Here they are:
Silver Flake finish with matching headstock
Birdseye maple fingerboard
Quarter sawn neck that's nice and stable
Vintage frets. The action on this bass is so low.
Stainless steel fret wire
Gloss neck with vintage tint
Crome Bell Cover for the neck pickup(not mounted)
OHSC with all paperwork
I have a hipshot d-tuner installed on it that comes with the bass
This jazz bass sounds amazing. From funk to fingerstyle it covers it all. It balances nice and weighs 9 pounds 5 ounces.
This bass cost me well over $2,000.00 new.
$1,550.00 shipped in the CONUS. Price is FIRM!
No trades
No international shipping.
Payment can be made by U.S. Postal Money Order or Paypal.
Thanks for checking it out.

Bass, case, chrome neck pickup cover(uninstalled), keys, allen wrenches, all paperwork, hangtag, Hipshot tuner package with original G&L tuner in it. The hipshot is installed on the bass. This bass will ship in the original G&L box that it came in from the factory.

Thats what is great about G&L. The alder is standard on standard finishes and the ash is standard on the Premier and Metal Flake finishes so your bass is more than likely ash unless the store ordered it in alder. Though I cant imagine why. Regardless, free bump and GLWYS! |
