For sale is an excellent L-2500, with ebony fingerboard and matching headstock. The bass is in fine condition, light normal playing wear, never gigged. It was originally purchased in Canada in May of 2001 by parents as a gift for their son. The son did not take to learning bass, so the G&L spent years in the closet. I bought it in late 2009.
It sounds like an L-2500 should, is currently strung with D'addario ProSteels and it can be one growly, boomy, zing-filled angry beast if you like. You can also play in passive mode and "dial it back" a little. The action is currently very low and requires a pretty light touch, so you might want to tweak the setup to your liking.
I will post more detailed photos over the weekend. $1150 shipped to the "lower 48".
As required by Talkbass law, I must post some statement of regret about selling this instrument, so - yes, I'll probably wish I had it back as soon as I ship it to you. Reason for sale is that I recently purchased a Fender Roscoe Beck V, and it has become my primary 5-string, so this bass is sitting on the stand and is way too nice for that.
