Hey guys.
This bass is the unreal and one of the best I've ever heard. It is very well broken-in and heavily vibed from years of being my favorite bass, and I'm sure many peoples' favorite before mine.
Before I continue, let me add that I have had 3 or 4 of these from the same year with the same wood combo, and this one is was clearly the winner. (and the heaviest )This bass also beat out my '64 precision and sadowsky collection for the leading role on my band's 2nd record.
This bass is not worth what it should be (at least not yet.) I am selling this not for the money, but because it is remarkable and needs to be played, and cherished, the way I did for years.
I am no longer playing professionally, and am thinning-out the collection. I'm keeping only one bass, as anything more would be unnecessary.
If you want to see/hear this bass in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZLkw9io9C0
***recorded through a pod xt...can't imagine how good it would have been if we used a REAL signal chain***
I'm asking for $1100 plus shipping. I know that these can be found for cheaper, but this is the best one out there. period. I went through about 10 similar basses, including 4 almost identical (as mentioned) |

I found a nice '81, but it's not mahogany or maple. Do you have any experience with the rosewood/alder basses?
