Dude...why are you selling this? SB2's are hands down my favorite basses thus far...they just kill.

It's a great bass, but I just got a new Lakland Darryl Jones 4-string and I have to let something go. The DJ4 is it for me. It was a tough decision, because the SB-2 is so cool, but it doesn't get much play.

On my non-digital bathroom scale it weighs 8 LBS, it's very light it may actually be less.

I can detect no deadspots, all the notes ring the same all on strings and frets.

I can detect no fret ware, just rub marks.

The truss rod is functional according to the used store i bought it from. The neck similar to a Jazz bass neck. 1.5" at the nut, C shape, a little thicker than a Jazz bass.

The body wood is Alder I'm pretty sure only because it is so light. Other than that I don't have a way to tell.

I would like payment via PayPal. Shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 will be $35 packed well and insured.

...and last question--What strings is it set up for? 40-100, 45-100, 45-105?

Thanks,
-GB

...to the best of my knowledge, most BBE-era G&Ls with solid color finish have alder bodies btw.

I would guess the radius is 7.5" as it looks similar to my DJ4, but I can't tell for sure.

It currently has 45-105 strings, and the nut was cut for that gauge. Had to have the nut replaced because I put some huge Fender flats on and it broke the nut. Had a local luthier custom cut a new bone nut.
