G&L SB2 Tribute

Sign in to disble this ad
Older, lightly played, well cared for SB2 Tribute.
The meanest snarling dog of a P bass you'll ever lay hands on, and it's got great J tones too.
J neck width, P neck depth: a great fun neck.
It came to me without a gigbag, but I've got an extra Fender japan bag I'll throw it in for shipping.
She's a little jewel, but a dusty little jewel at my house.

$400 shipped in the conus.

Is this made from ash?
What is the neck bolt config? 4 or 6?

I believe it's ash, and I think it looks like ash, but I bought is used and can't swear to it.
G&L typically only use ash for natural basses.
It sounds brighter and snappier than the basswood tribute 2500 I used to have.
4 bolt neck.

thx;
alan

Some of the first generation Trib SB-2s were ash - definitely the natural and cherryburst finish ones. I had an ash bodied one with a cherryburst finish. IMO it's one of the deficiencies of these second generation Indonesion Tributes - no ash on an SB-2. Nice bass! If I hadn't just sprung for a current gen Trib SB-2 I'd be all over this one.
