G&L Tribute L-2500 Sunburst HSC

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!!! SOLD!!! SOLD!!!

Nearly brand new G&L Tribute L-2500 in a stunningly beautiful sunburst with a used hardshell case.

Bought this a month or so ago so it's literally as new as you'll find a used bass. The only blemish I can find is a small nick on the tip of the headstock, and some extremely minor light surface scratches on the back, but they're barely visible. Control cavity still has protective film, all original documentation is provided including the warranty card. Strap not included, I forgot to remove it for the photos.

$540 shipped to your door Shipping in continental US only.

Trades:: Fretless 4 string, fretted 4 string that's tight, full, and articulate in the low end.

Man that's prettiest burst I've seen in a while....... Can somebody school me on this bass? I've never had the opportunity to check one out.

Have you ever played a G&L? They are pretty amazing. Leo Fender design, the L2k/L2.5k models have dual MFD humbucking pickups. 3-way pickup control toggle, series/parallel switch, passive/active/active+treble boost 3-way toggle. Pretty much a tone monster. The pickups tend to run pretty hot.

I've never played a tribute model, but they have the same electronics. This particular bass has a pretty sexy burst finish. I like!

To post some answers to questions that have been asked:

* Swamp ash body.
* The 3-tone sunburst is seriously beautiful. Photos were taken on my front porch in full sunlight so it really shows off the gloss of the finish and wood stain.
* Neck width is 1.75" at the nut
* Two humbucker pickups, volume, bass/treble cut, 3-way pickup selector, series/parallel, 3-way preamp switch (active w/treble boost, active, passive).
* This bass loves to be looked at. As you can see it's a very beefy looking bass, very eye catching thanks to the large bridge, large pickups with large pole pieces, big tuners, etc. A huge contrast to my wife's Ibanez 690 which is subdued in trans-black with black hardware.

No idea, the only scale in my house is a 5lb kitchen scale. I'm going to guess around 10lbs?

* Lighter than a T-40 which was the heaviest of all instruments I've ever personally owned
* Slightly heavier (couple lbs maybe?) than a Schecter Diamond J
* Much, much heavier than my wife's Japanese Ibanez 690. Though that bass is silly dainty and light. Feels like a toothpick tinker toy compared to the instruments I tend to choose.
