I really can't believe this one is still hanging around.

It's a beautiful bass ... and Mark Garza does great work. He is a talented luthier, and a great guy ta boot. I've actually spoken to Mark about this bass, when I was playing around with the idea of a 33-incher myself. I've owned a couple of Garz basses, and have gotta say ... they are just about the most comfortable necks I've had the good fortune to play ... super solid too. IF anyone is searching for a sweet looking, solid, 33" bass ... really look no further. Plus ... it's just about a grand less than having one built ... plus no 2-3 month build time.

BUMP for a sweet bass ... made by a very talented luthier. Frankly, I'd put Mark's work right up there with fellow -one man shop luthier - Rob Elrick.
... comfortable, light, playable, solid basses ...

Would help a lot if you spent 2 minutes and actually put the photo's in this thread. Rather than sending people to another thread.

IMHO.

The fret board could be macassar ebony.

Macassar Ebony For Bodies & Tops
Currently I am buying 9 different species of Macassar
Most of the beautiful striped wood comes from the Far East

With the weather getting nicer, I'm planning on shooting so more pics of the bass soon. It occurs to me that the pics posted look a little washed out color-wise; the bass is actually more golden-toned in person.

Here's a pic of this bass from the Garz website; I think it shows the body color a little more true.
