I'm selling my Gibson U.S. Custom Shop Leland Sklar 4 string. This bass utilizes Lee's signature dual EMG Reverse P pickup configuration in Jazz Bass position. The neck is jazz bass specs with a Hip Shot extender, a thick rosewood board married to a light weight alder body. Controls are Volume, Volume and Tone. Some minor dings, but overall in very good condition.

$1000.00

I spoke with Lee about that bass design a few years ago. He was approached by Gibson to do a signature bass and he really thought it turned out great. Ironically, Lee told me that there were several delays in production and by the time the first one hit the market he had already switched to an endorsement deal with Sheldon Dingwall. So Gibson killed the line with only one run. Very rare bass. So rare, in fact, that Lee himself does not even own one!

It's too bad I've blown my budget for this year. We're practically neighbours. I'm in Hamilton. Nice bass anyhow. How do you like the EMG pickups in it?

There's really nothing I don't like about this bass. The neck is great, it's a very light well balanced bass, and the pickup configuration with the EMG's gives lots of options. I mostly play a 5 these days and since I'm not in a regular band anymore it's time to trim the collection.
