This is an amazing bass. It's thumpy; it's growly; it's articulate; it's a 34"-scale semihollow Gibson. Although it bears a resemblance to mudbucker-equipped Gibsons of old, the front pickup is actually a TB-style humbucker that provides an entirely useable tone, both alone an in conjunction with the mini-HB at the bridge. The bridge pickup is also useable on its own, so the bass has a great thump tone, a nice snarly snappy tone, and a pleasantly balanced tone with both pickups together.
For the details on what it is and how it's put together, here's a link
to the product page on Gibson's web site. There's a Midtown club thread
, with lots of comments about this model. Some people have had QC issues with theirs, but, this is one of the good ones. It's in practically new condition. Weighs approximately 8 3/4 lbs. It's strung with GHS flats, but the stock roundwounds are in the case. $1050 shipped
