Looking for a really nice Ripper? Well, this is it. It's not just pretty, it plays like silk and it can get the punchiest tone of any bass I've heard. (Among many other tones.) Check it out:
There is some finish checking but other than that it's in really good condition. Based on the serial number and features, I believe this is a pretty early one---'73 or '74.
Weight is approximately 8 1/4 pounds, give or take a few ounces.
The only non-original parts are the pickguard (the original pickguard was shrinking and giving off some sort of corrosive gas; it was replaced with a new b/w/b drop-in replacement) and Dunlop strap locks. The original pick guard and the original Gibson strap buttons are included.
When I got it, this bass came with a flight case instead of the regular Gibson case. It's a fantastic case, but it's big and heavy. On the other hand, it protects the bass very well.
