Gibson Ripper Ebony Bass 1982
I've decided to sell my beloved Ripper. I'm really wanting my next purchase to be a Cataldo JAEbird. And the funds gotta come out of selling some bass gear.
I absolutely love this Ripper. It has plenty of scuffs and a few dings, but plays and sounds amazing. Falls into just about any live band situation. I've played it while in High School Jazz Band, Jamming with Blues players, and with rockers. Both classic and heavy rock. Always get compliments on it. Can out growl every Fender I've ever played. But the 4 way switch gives you many options. Big round tone, Growl, Funky pop, and a downright dirty bark. (When I say dirty bark, I mean it in a good way. Very grunge-like)
Just about everything on the bass is original. Besides the nut, which is now brass, and the truss rod cover.
Put a new set if Elixirs on it about 2 weeks ago. And these strings last a good long while.
I will consider trades, but as I said, I'm dying to order one of Carlo's JAEbirds.
I'm looking to get $945 shipped in the ConUS for this bad boy.
All the best,
