Godin Freeway 5

Good condition Godin Freeway 5 bass. Amazing player with a large sonic palette. This bass has some damage and non-original parts so it's valued accordingly. One string retainers is non-original, screws holding rear control cover are also non original. The bass also took a fall resulting in cosmetic damage to rear of bass and along the neck. All issues are documented in linked pictures. Mahogany body with flame maple top.

Also note the unique neck profile, it is flat which makes this a great starter 5-stringer or for players with smaller hands. Feels great.

I am looking to trade this bass for a bass amp head, 200-ish watts. Peavey, Carvin, or power amp. Would consider a 210 combo bass amp if of sufficient quality (ie not Behringer) but wouldn't want a big shipping hassle so local for combo.

Do you know what year this bass is from?

How's the low B on these? I've always wondered.

I've never plugged one of these in, but the past couple of days at the local L&M have been spent playing one of these acoustically. IMO, one of the most comfortable and lightweight 5's I've ever played. Go Canada!

SOLD LOCALLY

Cash price in the 250 neighborhood + shipping.

Year is probably 2004. The low b is great, that's why I bought it it was better than my SR5, which is why this one lasted and that one didn't. I actually lost the string retainer because I had pulled it to put on a downtuned four string and the godin didn't need it to keep the tension on the five. Great bridge and contact angle I guess. Just a well built bass.
