SOLD - The Retro Basscaster - Godin Shifter

SOLD

This is a well crafted North American- Canadian built bass. Like new. In excellent condition. I would characterize the tone as aggressive, although there’s plenty of thump available through the different pickup configurations. The neck has a vintage Fender “C” shape with a 1.5" nut width and is satin finished in a mild gun oil tint. The body is finished in a well done transparent blonde which lets the wood grain bleed through. String loading is through the body or the bridge. The oversized single coil pickups are growly and produce a pretty hot output for a passive bass. The controls are volume, tone (push/pull pot), 5 position pickup selector switch.
Pickup selector switch configuration:
position 1 (with tone pot pulled) = neck alone
position 1 (with tone pot in) = neck & middle
position 2 = neck & bridge
position 3 = middle alone
position 4 = middle & bridge
position 5 = bridge alone

She ships in a high quality, heavy duty Godin gigbag. $650 shipped in the lower 48 states.

Cool bass!! I have played Godin and they are well priced but extremely well built. I hope the word doesnt get out and their prices jump. Good acoustics, bass and guitars.

Is it 34" scale? The body looks Mustang-ish...

Yes. It's a full 34' scale neck. I'd describe the body as a basic P shape with a slightly shorter upper horn.

Yeah, these are a great deal. I played one a while ago and it stood high above similarly priced fenders.
