Gorgeous Josh Helms Custom 4-string - $1200 shipped FREE!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is one of Josh Helm's works of art. Custom built to the previous owners specs by JH in Seattle. His style is very natural, with extensive use of gorgeous hand-picked TONE WOODS and the use of light finishes to let the natural wood beauty shine thru.

This bass weighs only 7.9 pounds!!

Has an amazing birds-eye maple fretboard. I honestly can't say what the wood body is...but it certainly has great grain. (anyone know??)

Active/passive selector switch!! Has original electronics....2 Kent Armstrong active soapbar pickups, and an active Aguilar 3-band preamp. Has bass, mid, treble cut/boost...blend, and master volume in a very easy to use, logically placed configuration (volume and blend on top, and bass, mid, treble in a row below)

Its in great shape, and has nearly no scuffs or goobers. The fingering is ridiculously low and easy!! The nut measures 1.6" and the neck feels just like a Fender Precision. I can see NO fret wear on it.

$1200 shipped free in a nice gig bag. As always..part trade or swap offers are kool.

You will have to wipe the "drool" from it...I have had at least a dozen of my bass students drooling over it for the past week, but none can afford it.

Thanks Bro's!!

Denny

Very nice. Looks a lot like a Warrior. Do you have any clips or videos?

Thanks Bro....sorry, I don't have any clips for this one, as its not my regular gigging bass. I guess I feel that its a little too valuable to gig with and either wack it, or maybe have it magically walk away. I can VERY accurately describe the sound in detail if you wish.

Question

Tone wise any bass out there you would compare it to? I'm trying to get out of a Warwick corvette $$ and in to something more like P bass but still want versatility.

Well....I'd place the sound somewhere beween a Stingray and a Jazz Bass with both pups cranked, VERY FULL sounding...but with just the neck pickup...its got a VERY good P-bass sound, big and fat. It's a really versitile bass, and man...does it finger nice...super low.
