I ask b/c I owned this model but could never get the volume loud enough in a band context & decided to sell rather than modify. I loved the tone, though...beautiful warmpth...not too boomy like some semi-hollows I've played. Curious as to these pups :-)
Good luck with sale!

| | | | I play mine through a 1968 svt and an 8-10 and it's plenty loud. I love the pickups and think they make this bass great.
These are awesome basses! |

I have the same bass - what case is that? I still need to get one and it looks like a perfect fit. |

The guy I bought it from had a towel under the bass (mening, against the back, not the butt end) to take up a little extra room. Lengthwise, it's perfect. I'll take another look at the case today to see if there's a model number. |

What do these go for new ? |

* Scale length is 32".
* Pickups are TV Jones Thundertrons - their top of the line pickup!
* Controls are one master volume, individual volume controls for each pickup, one tone control.
* Set neck, of course.
* Cream-colored binding.
* True hollowbody

| | | | Yes, they were introduced in 2010, so it isn't that old.

I don't remember the markings on the pickups, although they were kind of similar. The biggest problem I had was when going to the sound board...we had difficulty getting it loud enough. I had an Eden 260 & Bergantino 210...would run out of headroom when we weren't that loud. You couldn't beat the buttery tone, though. I always suspected that there was something wrong with my pups or setup. I just didn't want to modify it and went a different direction. I think whoever ends up with this will get a very good deal indeed...

| | | | There is a second run showing up in GCs. I bought one three weeks ago at the Chicago store, still $799, and I love it.
Then there was the 10% tax and no case or gig bag, this is a nice deal for a great bass. I'm tempted to take advantage of the 30 day return policy and snag this one!
Feels to me like a long scale because of the big body. |
