Up for sale is a vintage Hagstrom HII B N from the early 70's. Pros: sounds great, shortscale neck is slim, comfortable and FAST. Very little fretwear, and the current setup is great. Not a buzz anywhere on the neck, and plays easily all the way to the 21st fret. Electronics are good - pickup selector & pots are working (although the neck volume and bridge tone are little crackly when making adjustments). The little slider switch on the bass-side horn doesn't seem to do anything, however. Body has it's share of wear, but nothing major or that is noticed from a few feet away. Cons (potentially): neck has been sanded down to bare wood. Headstock still has it's finish as can be seen in the photos. The neck is super fast and slick, 'naturally oiled', if you will. Neck seems just as stable as ever, as evidenced by it's great action. There is a hairline neck pocket crack, not 100% sure if it's just the finish or actually in the wood. I put a slight bit if pressure on it and didn't notice any movement, so I'm guessing it's a finish crack.
So there you have it. I'd like to get $400 plus shipping. Thanks for looking.
