Hanewinckel 5 String. 8lbs! Near Mint! Like MTD! Lower Price!

I'm not saying it's better than an MTD but it's very similar in sound and quality to one and at this price it can't be beat! It's completely handmade and gorgeous to play and look at! It is in near mint condition and only weighs 8lbs! The 3 band Bartolini Electronics compliment the alder body and stunning birdseye maple fretboard. The pictures do not do it justice. The black metallic paint job is beautiful.

Here is a link to a short audio clip I made. The bass was recorded flat with no eq with the balance pan pot about 70/30% favoring the bridge pickup. Only light compression was added in mix.

Hane Demo Bass.mp3 - File Shared from Box - Free Online File Storage

$1200, $1085 $1050 shipped and paypaled CONUS! Might consider trades for fretted 5's or 4's with a trade value of $1250

Here are some more details:
18mm string spacing at bridge
34" scale with a nice tight, well defined, B!
3 Piece quartersawn maple neck
Black Hipshot B Style bridge and tuners
Bart soapbars and 3 band 9V preamp (with toggle for 3 mid bands)

I was thinking Sadowsky/Roscoe/MTD. 34" like a Sadowsky 5 and some MTD's, 18mm spacing like a Roscoe, Barts like a Roscoe, Cool body shape like MTD. Maybe I should get a 5'er again.

This sucks. I need to get something. I have no bass. I am using a friends Geddy Lee which I like but it's heavy. I don't really use a B string that much, maybe once a month in church. Really tempting as it's a 34" scale 5 string, with Barts.

This is a TON of bass for the money. It's simple and classy looking and between pickup placement and preamp looks pretty versatile to me. You don't have to justify having a B string. I don't use it a ton either, but it's nice when I do. Or if you wanna string it E-C you could do that for chording and drop the E to D for lower notes.

I'm very tempted by this one myself.

Bump for the most crazy BEM I've ever seen! And some pretty bad gas to go with it!
