Pretty powerful. Reminds me of a passive BB or Jazz.

The ones you see for around $800 or so are generally the XL-4 model, which had the EMG pickups/electronics, were hand built in New Jersey, and I believe had a couple of other minor differences. The XK-4 sell for less used.

The XK-4 uses standard pickups and electronics (not sure what, they are just marked Hartke). They were built overseas, just not sure where.

The neck is somewhere between a J and a P - probably leaning a bit more towards a P.

The neck and frets are fine, and there is no case with the sale of this bass.

Thanks!

Hartke XKs are made in Korea. That's what the K stands for. The Hartke XL series is the US version. Both have aluminum necks.

If I didn't have an XL-4 project and 2 Vaccaro projects (fretted and fretless) I'd be all over this like a nun sandwich.
