BIG PRICE DROP!!!
It's time to move this one!
This is an '81 (I believe) L2000e (L2K) with a B00 serial number. I picked it up a couple of months back and have taken great care of it, but previous owner/owners played it well. The worst of it all is some gouging around the bridge which is shown in the pics, but there are other scratches and gouges here and there. The back of the neck does have a few that you can feel, but they didn't really bother me. Lots of finish checking too which doesn't really show up in the pics, but looks pretty cool in person IMO. She's not going to win any beauty contests for sure! Despite of the cosmetics, I think that the bass plays pretty well and sounds great. The single coil mode that you can access on these early G&Ls is one of my favorite tones ever. That's about all I know about the bass, but let me know if you have any other questions and we'll see if we can find an answer.
Nut width = 1.75"
Weight = ~10.5 lbs.
Let's say $900 $800 shipped OBO in the pictured SKB hardshell case in the US only. If you don't want the hard case, I'll sell for $700 shipped in a generic gig bag. Sorry, but I won't ship international. Just need to move a couple things now so no trades for this one.
PayPal very highly preferred.

There are a few of us GLeeks that consider this combination of mahogany body, chrome plates, first generation E electronics and, most of all, SLOT POLE MFD's, to be the Holy Grail of Leo Fender's work. And, if you haven`t owned a G&L before, this one will ruin every other bass in your rack for you. For life. Seriously.
Okay, calling Sonny, Chef, wacko, bdgotoh, imfreeman9, GaryLC, Plucky, ....who wants another one in their collection? Okay, stupid question, we ALL want one more, who NEEDS one?
If I didn't have to downsize, I'd hit it for sure.

Or a botched whammy bar install, maybe? |

Or a botched whammy bar install, maybe? | I don't know what happened to it. It was that way when I bought it. Pretty ugly, but I figured that I'm not that pretty either and people give me a chance.
You're botched whammy bar idea is a pretty good one and better than anything that I could come up with. |

Nice bass! |

WHY is this bass still here??? I've already got a 'hog Tookay, and if I had the scratch, I'd still hit it.
Ever want to rumble the neighbor's house six blocks away? Ever want to adversely affect the sperm count of the first 10 rows? Ever want to leave your guitard whimpering in the corner, begging for mercy???
THIS is the bass to do ALL that.
.....oh yeah, free bump!
