Highway One P-Bass for trade

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everyone! Infrequent poster, but super frequent reader.

I have a Fender Highway One that I received in trade about a year ago and I just don't really love it. It's a nice bass, but it just doesn't light my fire.

It's got some dings and it has a non-original tortoise pickguard that was added by the previous owner. It's definitely not a perfect or pristine bass in any way, but it plays well and sounds like it's supposed to.

I really don't know a ton about this bass, but if you have specific questions I can answer, just throw them at me.

It doesn't have a case, but if you are desperate I can probably throw in a gig bag... especially if your trade comes with the same.

Things I am looking for:

1. Top of the list by far, I am hungry for a 51 P/Tele type of bass... the Sting Bass, the 51 japanese reissue, or something reasonable. I tried the Squier Classic Vibe and didn't love it, though. I also don't have thousands to spend on the real deal, so I can't go that far.

2. I'd love a steinberger, but like I said I don't have thousands... so maybe a synapse... or if you happen to very strangely have EXACTLY this Hohner, we can definitely talk... this is apparently a factory paint job because I have seen it a couple of times on ebay. I only really want this one though:

3. peavey t-40 preferably in a finish other than natural

4. gibson victory

Some of these might involve cash oh my end or yours. I am happy to discuss.

I'll definitely listen to whatever weird or interesting (hopefully decent) offers are out there. I am not really into 5+ string or the fancy exotic woods and ritter looking swoopy shapes that much though.

Sorry for the lousy photos. If demand exists, I'll try to take better ones. I tried to highlight some of the obvious blemishes.

That's pretty cool, but not really my thing.

Although I am sure it's probably tough to figure out what that "thing" is from my ridiculous wishlist up there.

Thanks though!

I have a couple of interesting offers, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping someone with a spare sting / 51 CIJ reissue would wander through this thread.
